Oncology massage refers to massage tailored to the needs of individuals with cancer.
It is very gentle and slow, more so than in other therapeutic massages, and
treatment times are sometimes shorter. It focuses on minimising the patients’ discomfort and those with fragile bones or other physical changes brought on by their medical treatment. Oncology Massage is a commonly sought therapy by patients with cancer. Recent research indicates that massage is a valid application
for cancer pain, anxiety, nausea and vomitting, lymphedema, and carer support.
